I posted a couple of rare tracks. One's a remix of a modern hymn from our first EP. The other two are song experiments from the when we leave... sessions.

More album reviews. Jake at indie workshop says "...it’s scary how good these guys are at making you feel you’ve left your body." Read it. And andy malcolm at collective zine says "I just find this a very hypnotic and compelling listen" Read it.. Both great reviews.

Our new album, when we leave, we will know where we've been, has received a highly favorable review in this week's Pitch.

The Welterweights are doing an instore at recycled sounds on Saturday about 3pm. They'll be selling copies of their new 4 song EP. All four songs are good, but "Gurls of the NorthWest" is particularly awesome. I'll be playing bass; Billy Sheehan watch your back.

The CD release show went off with no critical hitches. We had a great time, hung out with some cool people, and raised the ceiling tiles a couple of inches with the Stella Link and thestringandreturn (which one of those guys is the Java programmer by the way?). We're playing a show on August 14 at the Pink House in Lawrence. It's with this all girl band from Philadelphia called X's X's. I hate to compare bands to other bands, but they sort of remind me of Sleater Kinney and Sonic Youth.
